Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is transmitted to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Jackson County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, we retain the message as needed to respond. It is not disclosed outside our organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers may receive routine technical information whenever a visitor loads a page, including:
- Your device's IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when available
- The time of each page request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure how the site is used. Analytics providers may combine visit data to show broad traffic patterns. Browser controls can reject cookies, although doing so may alter how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information may be used for these operational purposes:
- Operating the site and improving load performance
- Routing a search request to the relevant partner
- Measuring which material visitors use
- Diagnosing errors and security concerns
- Displaying advertising based on visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Jackson County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of case dockets or personal court records. It publishes general directions to the Jackson County Circuit Court Clerk, Jackson County Clerk and Master, their courts, and Tennessee appellate Public Case History. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports, and this resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes displayed on the site. Information submitted through a box is governed by that provider's privacy policy, retention terms, and sharing practices. We do not control those rules. Review the provider policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Jackson County clerk pages, Tennessee court resources, legal-aid organizations, or outside search services. Once you follow a link, the destination's privacy policy controls its handling of information. Review that policy before disclosing personal details.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That processing is conducted by those providers.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Partners that process a search you submit
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that serve ads
- Government authorities when a valid order legally compels disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information in our control. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access or another breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Rights may differ based on where you live. The Tennessee Public Records Act and Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34 concern access to government and court records, not private visitor data held here. Subject to applicable privacy and consumer-protection law, you may:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion of your personal information
- Object to or opt out of certain processing
